Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet

The Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet is clinically proven to be 93% more effective than floss for healthier gums. Most dental professionals recommend brushing and flossing to keep your teeth and gums their healthiest. Unfortunately, nearly 80-percent of Americans don’t floss on a regular basis, and most people find flossing to be a painful or unpleasant chore. Thanks to Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet, there is an effective alternative to flossing that feels great and is simple to complete.

Waterpik removes bacteria deep between teeth and below gumlines, while massaging and stimulating gums. This unit uses an advanced pressure control to freshen breath, remove plaque, reduce gingivitis and rinse gum pockets to improve gum health.

Compared to 72W model, Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet has more intelligent and sleeker design. In fact, it is a definite step up from their previous top of the line version (the 72W) in several categories. I am convinced that Waterpik makes the best quality.

The performance of the 100W is about the same as the 72W. The pressure dial goes from 1-10. On setting 10, the pressure is about the same as the 72W. This is still much more powerful than all other brands. There’s no problem blasting out all the nasty stuff from between your teeth and under your gums. The only minor complaint is that the reservoir holds slightly less than the 72W. It’s not a significant amount less, but it’s still noticeable. While I rarely ran out of solution on the 72W, I find myself having to rush just a little bit more with the 100W. In any case, it’s still not a major concern.

Unfortunately, the entire line of Waterpik begin to leak where the nozzle locks into the handle. Instead of coming out the nozzle, more and more water seeps then streams out the handle. There is no repair, so you have to keep buying new ones. Why? Because this unit works! This problem, though, won’t happen if you really read the instructions carefully. It says in the instructions to empty it after every use, and to unplug the unit. Doing this, you will have no leakage problems.

Another thing that some users don’t really like is that it’s hard to turn off with one hand when the reservoir is empty/low. The switch is on the left side, and is kind of clumsy. But I am sure you won’t need a long time to deal with it!

The bottom line, it will definitely clean your teeth, and gums above and below the gum line which is helping with gum problems. This is so much better and faster than flossing. And you can also use with a mouthwash to help out. Many users, after using it for just a few days, notice a change in the gum area in question. Eventually, they quit flossing and find that the Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet does a better job in addition to brushing and now they do not use the floss at all. Moreover, this is a fairly inexpensive item that can make a big difference. This product works and I do recommend Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet to anybody looking to get a dental water jet.

I found this unit for $49.9 in amazon. Some other stores sell this unit for $59.9. So, I think you’llĀ  get this unit from amazon for a cheaper price.

Pros: good pressure, compact, more intelligent design than the 72W model, cleans great, cleans hard to reach spots, clean teeth, easy to use, effective, good value, lightweight, 10 settings, small footprint, lots of tips are included.

Cons: leaks after awhile (if you neglect the instruction), wears out quickly, holds less water/solution than the 72W model, needs a bigger water tank, water can spray around your bathroom if you are not careful, position of on/off switch.
